Competition Rules

Mixed Chase The Jack
The winner of the toss places the mat and delivers the jack. Where the jack stops is where both players bowl to. If the jack finishes outside the confines of the rink or on the line it is declared dead and will need to be recast by the opposing player. Each player plays in turn. If the Jack is knocked by a wood into the next rink, onto the bank or rebounds to less than 21m from the mat then the end is dead and will be replayed in the same direction (unless both players agree otherwise). The player who scores the most shots on the previous end plays first on the next end and decides on the position of the jack. The winner is the player with the highest score after 12 ends. (15 ends in the semi-final and final) If the game is tied an extra end is played.

Mixed Australian Pairs
Drawn pairs, played in a 2 - 4 - 2 format, the winners being the team with the highest score after 18 ends.

If the game is tied an extra end is played. The player with shot bowl on that end is the winner.

Mixed Fixed Jack
The Jack is not cast but placed on a golf tee at full length going one way and minimum length going the opposite way. If the jack is displaced from the golf tee it is replaced onto the golf tee. On each end points are awarded for the nearest 4 bowls as follows: Shot=4, second=3, third=2 and fourth=1 irrespective of which player they belong to. The score on each end will always total 10. The winner is the player with the highest score after 12 ends. (15 ends in the semi-final and final) . If the game is tied an extra end is played.
